How to check whether the gear oil is lacking?

For the slewing motor reducer, generally there is an oil dipstick above the slewing motor. You can pull out the dipstick to observe whether the gear oil level is between the two observation holes at the bottom of the scale. The small hole at the bottom of the scale represents the lowest liquid level. The upper small hole represents the highest liquid level, and the gear oil level between the two observation holes is normal. When the liquid level is lower than the bottom hole, the gear oil should be refilled in time. For the walking motor reducer, since there is no oil dipstick for daily inspection, it is necessary to closely observe whether there is any oil leakage after changing the gear oil, and check and replace the oil seal and replenish the gear oil in time when the oil leakage is found.

Precautions for changing gear oil

Unscrew the oil level inspection hole screw plug, check whether the oil level reaches the specified oil level, and check whether the hole side scale is between 0 and 15 mm. If the amount of oil is insufficient, make up the gear oil to make the oil level reach the specified scale and check for oil leakage. When changing the gear oil, the vehicle should be started and rotated or traveled a certain distance to increase the temperature of the transmission gear oil. When the gear oil is still warm, unscrew the oil drain plug to drain the gear oil. When installing the oil drain plug, note that the oil drain plug of some models is magnetic. The iron powder adsorbed on the plug should be removed before screwing it on firmly. Then add new gear oil that meets the requirements until the gear oil overflows from the oil level inspection hole, and install the inspection hole plug.
